Spring is finally here!  Even though the weather is getting warmer it is still the perfect time to take a break and quilt.  Join us for some of our fun classes and shop hops over the next couple months.  Check out what is going on and then give us a call or stop in to sign up for some classes and get quiting!

Twister Quilt
Learn the crazy twister technique with the TWISTER TOOL.  It looks much harder than it really is.  Stop in to see the sample. Great  use for a layer cake, or choose your own fabric.  10 inch  “Twister Tool”  included with the class.  You can also use the “Lil Twister” for a smaller version.

Bella Bag
This great pattern makes 3 different size bags, you choose the size.  Very little quilting done on the bag, so it goes together very fast.  Great project for Mother/Daughter or make one for each of you.

Machine Applique Towel
Learn the easy way to applique onto a towel or small projects using heat-n-bond light, and your own machine. We will go over stitching techniques and to choose which one you like best.  We will be completing a hand towel for you to take home.  All materials provided.

Owl Pincushion

This very cute owl can be used as a pincushion or an ornament.   Stop in to see our sample and you will want to make more than one.  Join the class and complete the owl in one session.  All supplies to complete one owl are included.

Quilting -101

This class will cover the quilt making from the very beginning. You will learn to cut with a rotary cutter, sew with exact ¼” seams, how to make and arrange your blocks to complete the quilt. We will also cover putting on borders. This is a great class to take if have not made a quilt or just made a small project. Our Pattern is called Hop, Skip and Jump. It is a

new Triple Expresso pattern that has 3 quilts in one pattern. You decide when your blocks are done which version to make. Stop in to see the sample and pick up your supply list

Every Day Breadbag

The Everyday Bread  bag hold up to a dozen or more rolls while bread is kept soft without exposing to air.  Using Insul-Brigte also helps keep the bread warmer longer.  Stop in to see our sample, you will want to make several of these for gifts.  Choose your own fabrics, or one of our kits.  Complete in one day.

Machine Quilting Learn the basic machine quilting techniques. You will learn to stitch in the ditch and simple free hand meandering.  You will need your sewing machine that can drop the feed dogs, also you will need a walking foot and a darning foot.  There are machines available to use if you do not have one. Bring your own small project to practice on.

Trapunto wall hanging

Learn the Trapunto technique  by completing a small wall hanging.   We will learn to mark, sew, and machine quilt this project.  All supplies included to complete your project.  Stop in to see the sample.

English Paper Piecing

English paper piecing is very easy to do, and very portable to take with.  It a great use of all those small scraps and is easy to get very precise. You will love the results.  It is one of my favorite take-along projects.  Join in the fun of making a small project.  Choose your fabric, or use up your scraps.

10 Degree Wedge Christmas Tree Skirt

Make this large 50” Christmas Tree Skirt in no time.  Start with just 3 colors and watch your skirt come to life.  Stop in to see the sample.  You can also choose to make a table topper instead of a tree skirt.

We will again be accepting donation fabrics to give to our area groups (3 of them) to make quilts with. Please drop off your fabric between Jan 22nd – 28th We will weight it and whatever it weighs you will get that discount in the store for that day (up to 30%) We appreciate your donations. The groups make good use of the material.

Professional Tote

This is a great bag to make for the woman on the go.  It can double as a diaper bag, or just a great bag to keep all your stuff in.  Stop in to see the samples and choose your fabric.  This is a great bag to do in a class, as we keep you on task and get the many steps in order for you without getting confused. 1^st meeting we will cut and prepare our fabric to sew.  Then return on Sat and begin to put together the bag. Stop in to pick up supply list and pattern.

Easy Striped Table Runner

The Easiest project you will ever make!!  Five seams and the top is finished. Can add binding or just turn right side out to finish.  The trick is in the 60 degree triangle ruler!! Come in and check out the samples.

Mystery Quilt Weekend

Join us for a weekend of sewing a mystery quilt. Friday we will cut and begin our first few steps. Then return on Saturday to continue sewing and watch the mystery unfold before your eyes. You can return on Sunday if you wish to finish up. Stop by to pick up your supply list.  Lunch is on your own-Pizzeria is just across the street. Snacks provided during the day, bring your own beverage. Stop in for a supply list.

Binding Class

Learn how to put a binding on your quilt. We will teach you how cut, join, press and sew your binding on to make that great looking mitered corner. Bring is your own project, or ask for one of our donations quilts for you to bind.

Well it is Finally Here! Scrap Therapy!

We start with a CUTTING WORKSHOP to get you organized. Scraps are cut into three sensible sizes, and organized into convenient see-thru bins for easy access (your first storage bin is free!). The cutting seminar is dedicated to honing your rotary cutting techniques, teaching efficient cutting techniques and introducing you to new rulers and tools to make cutting more accurate. This is the first step in getting your fabric stash under control!

Next there will be QUILT PROJECT CLASS to use your newly-cut and organized fabric pieces in a variety of fresh patterns and projects. Watch your scrap stack shrink while converting scrap fabrics into usable quilts, table runners, bags and more. Watch for Project classes starting in January. Cutting Workshop is a pre-requisite.

Supplies: Bring in all of your scraps- Pile them in a basket, a bag, your trunk, it doesn't matter, just get them here. Your therapist will help you organize them into useful pieces for later use in fun projects. You will also need a rotary cutter, mat and ruler at least 5" wide.

Little Christmas Stockings – embroidery
Learn to embroidery this small Christmas Stocking. Choose one from the 6 patterns from Bareroots. Make one or all 6. Learn the basic embroidery stitches so you can see how easy it is to embroidery. We will meet in 2 classes, the first to get you started embroidering. The second to put together the stocking. Stop in the shop to sign up and see our sample stockings.

Long Arm Certification Class
Learn to use the long arm machine and finish your own quilts on it. Take the one on one class and then you are able to rent out the machine. We will give you a practice quilt to give a try and learn how to use.
